Can anyone recommend summer festivals (for either orchestra or chamber music)? Of course I already know about the big ones: Tanglewood, Music Academy, National Repertory, National Orchestra Institute. What are some other ones out there for the 20-28 age group? Thanks!

National Orchestra Institute is a really fun festival, and it is in June, so if you get into that, you can also do another one, perhaps a chamber music festival. Good summer.
NOI has good conductors this year.

A competitive and small festival, The Festival-Institute at Round Top, is an incredible, slightly underated 6 week festival in Texas that runs in June and July. They take 3 clarinets every year and the entire festival is basically the size of one orchestra. The coaching and chamber music is top-notch. The quality of the orchestra is even better, and they always bring in fantastic conductors. I learned so much there that prepared me for professional orchestra gigs that followed.
Being only six weeks long is a bit of a drawback, but you can learn and absorb so much in those six weeks. I highly recommend checking out the festival. Current teachers are Ken Grant (Rochester Philharmonic, Eastman) and Hakan Rosengren (phenomenal soloist, CalState-Fulerton). I would rank this festival a small notch below the top three and way better than most in terms of playing time and experience.
Also, the food is as good as you will find anywhere on a day-to-day basis.
