 Hello~
I'm surprised I can't find more info on this on the web, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I'm trying to find out the typical length of a Bb HP clarinet.
I am restoring an old rosewood albert Bb clarinet. It is 22 1/2 inches long without the mouthpiece. It says B on each piece. I don't want to sink a ton of time into it if it's HP. Obviously, I can't yet play it to see how it tunes. Any advice?

 Somewhere between the classical
and the blues, is the flower
 of the indigenous.

Hi WC - I have a couple of Alberts, one is stencilled LP, both are 23 1/2 " long, so I'd assume yours is indeed an HP. Even without restoration, can't you achieve an open G to ascertain that its likely an HP ? Try the Yahoo Group "Early Clarinet" for expert opinion/help. Luck, Don

 Thanx, Mark, Don
