Dear Folks,
Many, many years ago a Russian national had told me that he and many of his peers played the ENTIRE suite on Bb, transposing down one half step. This seems to work great for me, but I wondered how many of you all use this "trick?"

Having seen Peter Hadcock's personal part from the Boston Symphony, he had the Eb part "noodles" in the beginning of Suite No.2 written out for D clarinet, putting it in C MAJOR! Great idea if you ask me. I don't know if he played it that way, but it was there in the part.

I think the second part is actually more difficult to perform, because of the throat register.
