 HELP with Brahms op114

Someone suggested I ask for help at this forum.
I am not a clarinet player but have purchased a facisimile copy of Brahms Clarinet Trio op114, which was published by Dr Hans Schneider, Tutzing 1958.
The commentary at the beginning of the piece is I believe written by Alfons Ott which is all in german. I am wondering if anyone out there has an english translation of the commentary, as it is for a gift and I would really like to present it with the facisimile. I have tried to get it translated however it is apparently in the old german language.
I REALLY appreciate any help anyone can give me as the birthday is fast approaching!
