What does it mean to reface a mouth piece?

It means various thing to various people, and in various situations.

Usually, it means to return the facing (rails, wind opening, and table) to their original dimensions, to the extent that that is possible, because these dimensions have changed through use or age.

It can also mean changing these things to accommodate a player. For example, rails may be thinned, baffle dimensions may be changed, or the curve of the tip may be changed to produce different playing or sound characteristics than were inherent in the original design.
