has anyone ever tried them?

last night at rehearsal i just couldnt find a strong enough reed (i normally use vandoren V12 2.5 - 3). when my stand mate offered me one of his reeds, a Brancher (orchestra) #4. i thanked him and told him i prolly couldnt play it. but to my surprise, i could. with a tiny bit of sanding, it worked well. i was impressed. 3.5 is prolly more my strength.

wondering if anyone else has tried them and what they think of them?
