 Minimum string numbers for Nielsen

Hi
I'm am trying to organise a concert performance of the Nielsen concerto with orchestra.
Could someone give me an idea of minimum string numbers for a successful performance?

None! A friend of mine is doing an excellent reduction with piano and snare drum and it sounds really neat. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but oh well... Good luck in your endeavor.

I did it with 2, 4, 6, 8, 8 and would have liked a few more, for snare drum balance if nothing else!
