Hi: I did a search on the bb about A. Fontaine Clarinets, looks like the information is in reference to their wooden clarinets. Is anyone familiar with the quality of their plastic clarinets?

"A. Fontaine" was an importer's brand name, no real way to tell who actually made the instrument.

Hi Dave, I think that we are both correct, I have an old 1950's [Woodwind magazine] ad showing Cousenon's [branded] best cl and a Fontaine student model, don't recall the low prices quoted. Ah memories, Don

Thanx, Mark, Don
