My daughter was downstairs last night, checking the Internet site of her school district to see if they would get two days in a row off from school, due to bad/cold weather.
Suddenly, she came charging up the stairs, rejoicing, "NO SCHOOL TOMORROW! This means I get a day to work on reeds!"
Sorta makes a fella's heart melt to hear that.

Motivated young lady - Congratulations!
Mine came after 14 years of cooling my heels in various dance studios, suffering through teen years, trying to cajole a second major in some lucrative profession in college but failing, seeing her graduate with her BFA, and shedding tears at her first professional performance - but with a "Thanks Dad" from her afterward.
