Piece gradnig - some help please

Hello, I'm interested in knowing the equivalent ABRSM grade for the "Bernstein Sonata for Clarinet and Pinao", the ABRSM have the 1st movement on their grade 8 syllabus I think, but surely it is too easy? and if so what would movement 2 - which is much harder be? What grade would the pinao part correspond to?
The other piece I would like to enquire about is Viktor's Tale (John Williams) from the film "The Terminal", what sort of level is this piece?

Would either of these pieces be suitable/ hard enough for a professional audition?

Thank you.
Kevin

FWIW - In the NYSSMA (New York) manual, there are 6 levels of solos, and the second movement (only) of the Bernstein Sonata is listed as a Grade 5 ...GBK

You need to keep in mind that difficulty is not necessarily dictated by the notes on the page. It's the way you play them. The second movement of the Mozart K622 is on the grade 6 syllabus. The type of performance that would be expected to pass that exam and the type expected if you played in on Young Musician of the Year would be worlds apart. I would think that an interview panel would see dozens of people who can play the notes. But there are not as many who play the music.

Hi,
I played Victor's Tale as an encore for my recital last year. It was fun to play, and not too difficult to learn. It is easier than the Bernstein second movement, perhaps a grade 4. I wouldn't say it's an audition-type piece, more of a fun recital encore or something to play on a pops concert.
