I have a Malerne Wooden Clarinet Serial Number 00550.
Anyone know the approximate age and value of this clarinet?
Thanks
Joe

As Dave Spieg. could tell you, Malerne made many ww insts. for "stencilling" for sale by others, most quite good. I had, and sold to a young student, a quite good Linton bass cl, made by Malerne. Dave, please help, Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

OK then -- Malerne wooden soprano clarinets are very common; I've never been able to find any difference between the models marked "Standard" and "Professional"; they are comparable to Noblets in how they play; and they're worth very little on the used market.
