Actually I got that 1971 year from Selmer themselves

which, as Chris said, their serial numbers information seems to be like a good guess and nothing exact. They are known to have crossovers as they use up parts from previous models and they introduce new models.
If your clarinet says it's a Series 10 - then it's a series 10.
