Hello my name is juan. I would like to play the altisimo register like nothing but i happened to have problems in it. I would to just get the notes out qick instead of hesitating a little for that high G. I am looking for a good book that will introduce me the rigister more and help me with these questions. Any suggestions.

Hello Juan: The Baermann method book has finger studies starting from low register through altisimo. I do a few measures per week and have found them very helpful with these notes. With the altisimo, it also helped to do these first silently so my fingers/brain got the fingering and then very slowly the notes became easier. For me, it was all about breath support and staying relaxed through those altisimo measures. For me, the hesitation was more about tension than anything else. Now, when I work on those measures, I make sure my shoulders are relaxed; thats where I seemed to start my tensing up..... Good luck !
