I have in my music folder a really old sheet of music entitled Clarinet Exercises For Development of Tone. On the bottom of the page it is marked 15. I've found this is a wonderful exercise to help improve tone but I was wondering where this is from. My aunt sent it to me when I first started in 6th grade when she dropped majoring in music along with her Klose Celebrated Method and many more copies of music. I would like to know where it's from because if it's from a book, then chances are the book has alot more great exercises I can use.

Can you provide a JPEG of the sample ... might be helpful for the sleuths.

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

I cant help with "Tone" exercises, but did look in my OLD H. Klose {Staats, Carl Fischer]. The lecture on pg 85 with the exercise-examples on pgs 102 and 108, sure would promote "good tone". Will try [again?], Don

 Thanx, Mark, Don
