 getting 'restarted"

I used to play clarinet many years ago. I took up the sax a couple of years ago as a hobby.
Now I am returning to the clarinet, my first love, and have gotten hold of two. The first is a student plastic model, that I am doing fine on. Since things were going well I decided to get a new Buffet R13. I can play it adequately in the low register, but when I switch to the high register, most of the time, I can't even get a note to play. I don't recall having this problem way back when I played when I was younger and I don't have this problem now with the student horn. I am using a 2-1/2 reed.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
