 Hello

I'd be grateful if anyone can recommend any piece/arrangement for a clarinet choir with percussion. I've recently seen the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain (they were fab!) played a piece with percussion included and thought why not with the clarinet choir.

Ideally, the music should be around Grade 6 (ABRSM UK) and above standard.

Many thanks in advance!
Dominic

Stucky, S. - Divertimento (Clar. Choir, Pf, 2 Perc)
-------------------------------------------------------------
From this point on the music from Luyben's Music and arranged by Custer, which includes a recorded rhythm accomp. but still could be played by actual percussionist...
Anderson/Custer - Blue Tango
Duke/Custer - Autumn in New York
Garland/Custer - In The Mood
Mancini/Custer - Pink Panther
Miller/Custer - Moonlight Serenade
Rodger/Custer - My Funny Valentines

Good Luck and Many wishes!!!

The L.A. Clarinet Choir is premiering "The Great Clarinet Circus" by Edward Cansino on December 2nd (I'm on bass). Clarinet choir with one percussionist (on a pretty big spread of instruments). Circus kistch meets twelve-tone rows, with some cool Ivesian stuff in the last movement.

Don't know if Mr. Cansino has plans to publish, but it might be something to look into.

I play with Alex in the Los Angeles Clarinet Choir. Parts will be available beginning in July 2007. There will be a preview posted on Margaret Thornhill's (the director) website in the near future. You can check back soon at http://www.margaretthornhill.com/clarinet_choir.html.

I think there are 9 separate Bb parts, plus 2 different Eb parts, 2 different bass parts, basset horn, and contrabass in addition to percussion.

This piece is a LOT of fun and I highly recommend it! All of the parts are challenging, and the solos are dispersed throughout all the sections.
