My friend has recently recieved a Leblanc Paris clarinet from 1961 and was wondering (as am I) what type it is. It is silver plated and has a kind of rounded triangle type symbol on it that I know I have seen somewhere before but just can not place. Any help is appreciated.

The "rounded triangle" is actually LL. The LL was one of LeBlancs more popular professional models.

Google up LL leblanc clarinets, and you'll find your answer. i've heard good reviews about it.

Mirror image cursive "L"s look like a triangle.
To me, it also looks like some kind of strange hat - maybe the kind that Chico Marx used to wear.
