Does anyone have any favorite reeds that really seem to work well with the Vandoren M30? Also, how about with the B40?

Vandoren V12 4's here. 3.5 to 4 are recommended for V12s and RdL's, and 3.5 to 4.5 for standard Vandorens. Gonzalez reeds work well too. I imagine most respectable brands will work. Just use a higher strength to get the most out of the long facing and tip. As always, whatever works best for you.

I'm getting along fine on my M30 with Vandoren V12 reeds, #3.5. Regular, blue box VDs make a harsher sound (for me), 3.0s substitute for the V12 3.5s. Mitchell Luries don't seem to match very well at all.

Hi Tom,
i am an german Clarinettist, so my english is not so good...
Try the Vandoren Rue Lepic reeds (Nr. 3), they play beautiful with the M30.
I'm playing the Buffet Crampon RC with the Vandoren M30.

...as far as the B40 goes, I liked V12 3.5 However, I always had to adjust the reeds to get the B40 to respond well.

Vanduran V12 #4's. I used to use Mitchel Lurie and find the tone quality of the upper register to be much warmer and fuller w/ the V12's.
