Am I the only one who is happy that finally the holliday season is coming to its end ?
I really enjoyed some weeks of (France this year, and a great hot july in Belgium, august is wet and cold), but ...
The orchestra's I'm playing in are getting back into business. Just had first rehearsals of the new season, concerts are due (first on september 3th, then sunday 10th,...great music this season : Carmina, Beethoven at lots lots more).
Finally back to playing the clarinet with lots of friends, having fun all over, enyoing music.
Or am I just a bit too fanatic ?

I agree with you on that - I'm anxious to get playing in the busy Fall season. It's always fun having so much to do for me. I've had plenty of groups to play with this Summer but glad that the bigger stuff is on the way. Actually, my opinion on the matter is that Pre-New Year's season is the thing I'm looking for - once January hits things get a little crazy, and the more important things such as auditions and junk happens in February and March. Fall is where it's at.
Nope. You're not too fanatic. (Or you're just not alone?)

I'm only playing in non-pro orchestra's (2 wind bands, 1 symphony and 1 woodwind quintet) so no auditions for me, just fun ;-)
I don't have to make a living out of it, and all orchestras - still :-) - are glad to see me passing by more or less every week.
... but even with this easy conditions, stress is still around, afterall if one wants to perform well it takes some effort and it's not as simple as it (should) sound(s)
