 Hello, All,

I am looking for sheet music duets for clarinet and flute.

As an update, I have only been playing for about 7 or 8 weeks, but am really enjoying it. My set up is:

Buffet B12 Clarinet
Vandoren 5RV Lyre (Profile 88, 13 Series, for those who are interested)
Bonade ligature
Vandoren #2.5 reeds

I had been playing on a Vandoren B45 Lyre. It blew okay, but not as well as I'd like. Moreover, it was rented along with the horn I began on, so it needed to be returned and replaced anyway. The new mouthpiece is an improvement--freer blowing and brighter sounding over all. I had considered beginning on the Hite or Fobes student models, but I am having success with the 5RV Lyre, and would rather stick it out than upgrade again as I improve (which I hope to do).

Back to my topic, my wife is an accomplished flute player, and I would like to find some sheet music we can work together on. It needs to be simple enough for a beginner like me, but difficult enough to last us a bit and provide her enjoyment. Any recommendations?

Thank you all as always,

Alex M.

There are two volumes of flute/clarinet duets that are published by Hal Leonard/Rubank and arranged by Himie Voxman. The first volume has the easier arrangements and the second is more advanced. There are other works arranged for the flute/clarinet combination but not that have an elementary clarinet part. The Voxman duets are cheap and worth a look.
