 Southern climate and wood clarinet

I live in Louisiana where it is warm most of the year and humid. How does this effect a wood clarinet? Is it good or bad?

Warm and humid are OK. The clarinet's wood doesn't go through as much expansion and contraction as it would if it were cool and dry. Be sure you swab it after playing. Don't ever let it bake in a car in the southern heat.
Keep it dry enough (with a dehumidifior or dessicants if needed) to keep mold from forming and to keep the joints free enough for easy assembly and disassembly.
