I learnt this when I was in a choir years ago. It only just occurred to me to try it on clarinet:
Take a scale. Call the tonic '1' and count the notes upwards, so for example 'C' is 1, 'D' is 2 etc. for C major. Then play the following:
1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 7 6 5 4 3 2
1 2 1 3 1 4 1 5 1 6 1 7 1 8
7 8 6 8 5 8 4 8 3 8 2 8 1
8 5 3 1 -
8 -
1
It's absolutely mind expanding with a decent number of sharps or flats, or across the break.

I remember these from when I was in our high school, practicing clarinet band music in one of the practice rooms while chorus class was going on out in the band room. Lots of times I'd stop practicing and sing these exercises along with the class. They've crept into my warmups on clarinet as well!
