Some of you may remember my cry for comfort concerning my dropping and breaking my Kaspar Cicero 11. Thank you all for your concern and helpful advise. I had several offers of people who could repair (or perhaps could repair) it. Brad Behn offered to repair it and since I've heard such great things about his work with vintage mouthpieces I decided to send it off to him.
The result is nothing short of amazing--no, it's totally amazing. If you did not know the mouthpiece had been broken you would not be able to tell. He was also quite reasonable and compassionate. I won't quote dollars here because there may be more of us that need the service and I'm sure he prices it according to each case. He's a sponsor. Anyway, it's back in my hands and is playing beautifully! Just in time for a concert. When I looked at it after I dropped it I really thought it was garbage. I never would have believed it would look like new again! Thanks Brad!

Thanks for sharing, Brenda. That's truly amazing. It's always a delight to see such a splendid result. Considering, too, how you felt at the time of the "accident" it must be unspeakably gorgeous to you.
May all your reeds be winners as well.

Congratulations on getting your mouthpiece back, it looks great! Have fun with your mouthpiece at the concert.

It bears mentioning that Brad is very much a living maker of quality mouthpieces, which may be REPLACED by himself if they become damaged.
(As Brenda can attest, damaging something that cannot be replaced is a source of agony, as is attachment to any material thing...)

This was such a relief to me, as you can imagine. I was sick when it happened. Especially since I'd looked for a while to find one that was a good player. And, this one had a particularly nice tone.
As you may remember, there was some shattering of the pieces, so he had to fill in with epoxy. The epoxy does show a bit on the facing side. It appears as little white spots (barely visable). I'll include a closeup photo of that as well.
He reads the board, perhaps Brad will comment on how he did it.

Ummm... How much did that cost? I also have a Kaspar with a simmilar break in the tip. The work looks amazing.

Brad Behn is making a big and fabulous career - he's come a long way. I think his work is as fine and elegant as you could hope for. It's exciting to think how many fabulous artists are out tere now - Vytas Krass, Terry Guidetti, Chris Hill, and others I'm sure that I have not dealt with.
Matsen would be proud!

Yes, there's also Greg Smith and Walter Grabner. We have many great mouthpiece makers among us.
As to what it cost, you'll have to talk to Brad about that. I'm sure each case is different.
