Hi guys. Just a quick post about the tuning on my new A clarinet. The throat Bb is really really sharp... at least 10 cents more than A and G#. For this reason I am reluctant to touch the pad heights of those two notes, and the clairon (thumb) C is not flat but if you allow your embouchure to relax too much it can get towards the flatter side. I find that putting down oxx oxx and the C pinky key for throat Bb helps but still on the high side. What do I do!

Is it in tune when you use the side key instead of the register key? On my clarinet I have the opposite problem - the register key fingering is flat - but the side key fingering is in tune and sounds vastly better all round.

Perhaps your register pad is opening too far. Closing it a bit will lower the throat Bb a little and also help to lower your C6 if that note is sharp. There is an ideal opening measurement that someone else may be able to provide.
But my first impression was, LUCKY YOU!! A sharp note is much easier to tune by lipping than a too flat note--like the throat Bb on my A clarinet. I have to use the side key most of the time, especially when playing F.

Yes,
Try easing up the register key so that the opening closes. Watch your tuner, and see if you can flatten the pitch by closing down the register key opening.
My teacher just had me do that, and it helped without ruining the clarion.
