hey all.
i work in a music store. we have recently started carrying Lleblanc's new Omega line. Anyone else out there tried one? What's the overall reaction? good? bad? indifferent? Just curious as to how other players feel about this new clarinet.
thanks,
JK

Selmer Omega instruments:

http://www.whipkeys.com/great_deals.html

From the Selmer bulletin board:

"...SELMER OMEGA clarinets, there are two different ones: The Paris Omega, and the USA Omega. They are available at designated Selmer Omega dealers. They are not available mail-order..."

"...The Selmer USA Omega is a reincarnation of the old Signet Soloist..."

nope, not the old Omega line. the new one.
as most of you are aware, Leblanc has merged with Conn-Selmer. they have now come out with a NEW Omega line. completely unrelated to the old line (except in name), with the Leblanc name stamped on it. Hope that helps to clarify. I was confused at first too.

Well, I guess that keeps us all confused for a while. Leblanc Omega, huh?

I'm hold'n out for the future company mergers--a Yamaha R13 set of Concertos (with the aux Eb levers) and a Bundy Resonite double octave low C bass clarinet (Grabner mpc included).
