 Festival A Cla barrel?

Hi all,

Does the Festival A Cla works well with the Moennig or Chadash? Or does it need the specific Festival barrel? Thanks for your help.

I play a Festival A clarinet with a Chadash barrel bored specifically A clarinet. I find the intonation pretty darn good, the sound is a touch "brighter" and perhaps "colder" than other barrels but it's worth it for the tuning pay off....

I don't mind the brighter sound. I think being "dark" is over-rated at times. I like a "sweet" sounding clarinet... :)

Anyone with comments on Moennig on the Festival? I'm trying to figure out whether anyone has any experience in either one.

Well, I guess I'll be honest. I have a Festival and have both a Moennig and a standard Festival barrel. I can't tell the difference.
