Has anyone heard of or seen this model? It's a plastic Leblanc that seems to be similar to a Vito 7214.

Anyone have any more information on it?

Thanks!

 Hello

After Googling "LeBlanc Galaxy" and perusing all the results, I've found that it's a cheaper wood clarinet (intermediate model, I'd assume). Check it out!!

Here's a description I found at Sam Ash: "This beautiful wood-like finish clarinet has all the features that a beginning clarinet player would want. It is free-blowing and produces a clear, radiant tone quality - perfect for playing in beginning ensembles. It features power-forged nickel-silver keys, undercut tone holes, in-line "Jump" trill keys, the exclusive PRAG mechanism and polished stainless steel bell ring. Includes a new deluxe case. "

A salesperson also confirmed to me that it is similar to a Vito 7214. Maybe they made a wooden version as well?

Now that you bring it up, I'm not sure. I repeated the search and the little descriptions on SOME of the articles describe it as a cheaper wooden model. Perphaps they are mistaken??

I'll answer my own question, because I just bought one. It's seems to be identical to a Vito 7214, but is labeled on the bell and barrel as "Galaxy by Leblanc." It comes with a Vito II mouthpiece and in a Leblanc deluxe carry case, which looks exactly the same as the cases available with the new Leblanc plastic models. It also included a swab and Leblanc cork grease. A pretty good deal at $289.00 as www.samash.com on closeout.
