I am thinking about buying an Albery or Oehler System clarinet for a new Klez band that I am in. Does anyone know of any good brands? Thanks in advance.

I've just posted this link in other thread:
http://www.cs.ru.nl/~bolke/DuitseKlar/oehlerlist.html
in general terms, all german makers are very good and they produce "hand-made" horns.
Full Oehler clarinets are very expensive compare to top-professional french systems (Wurlitzer prices are over 7.000 Euros for its top-of-line instrument, Schwenk und seggelke are over 5.000) but there are simplified system that, i guess, are suitable for klezmer for less than 2.000.
Also Amati makes german system clarinets and their prices are low than the above quoted.

A quick glance at ebay produced quite a number of [used] brand-name Alberts...plus, of course, the "direct from factory" models. ;-)

Direct from Factory! Brand new model! Rock bottom prices!
Oh, Please, please, Iacuras... Don't go there :|
Don't even "joke" about it.
If you can't afford a new German made instrument, and I mean an *authentic* name brand one, there are ocassionally some pretty good 'Alberts' on eBay. You may have to wait for a good one to show up but they do show up.
I have a Pedler, a Penzel Mueller and a Conn that I bought within the past year, repadded and play frequently . They're all pretty good players and none was over $75(USD) - including the ten dollars worth of pads and cork I used to tweak 'em.
If you shop eBay, make sure you buy only a L.P. (low pitch) instrument.

Stay away from those Indian made things though (Boosey & Co. copies) - you can spot them a mile off as they've got red pads and red thread on the tenons instead of cork.
