Music Colleges

Is there a college located in or around Chicago that is known for its music department? Thanks in advance!

DePaul. Northwestern. Also if you aren't constrained to Chicago but want to stay in the region, can go to Champaign for U of I. Bloomington for Indiana. A short 300 miles away is U of M in Ann Arbor.

IU Bloomington is renowned for their music dept. A lot of kids from Chicago go there. My daughter is an IU student, but not in music.

There are several (listed) really great places to go that are World Class. You are lucky to live nearby!

Googling "Music Schools" brings up a couple sites that have a list of GREAT colleges and universities around the world. Around Chicago, Depaul is awesome, so is Northwestern. However big may not necessarily be what you want. Schedule a campus visit a see which you prefer (big campus or small campus).
