 Beyond a R H student mouthpiece ?

I've been playing for just over two years now - a mature beginner !
I've only used a Richard Hawkins student mouthpiece so far (Bonade inverted ligature, Rico Royal reeds) and am wondering about what type/make of mouthpiece I should be looking to progress to ???
I appreciate that it's a matter of taste (excuse the pun !) to a large extent but was wondering if any of you or your students have progressed from a RH student mouthpiece and if so, what to ?
Would appreciate any thoughts/advice please.
My clarinet is a Leblanc Noblet.

i still play a Richard Hawkins mp. not a "student" one, but a very nice mouthpiece indeed. i like the sound it lets me produce and it is not too finicky as to what reeds work best, though I have my own preference ( Vandoren Black Master, 3.5).

If you want to stay with a Richard Hawkins mouthpiece, Phil Shapiro at Davie Cane exclusively sells a VERY nice model of the Hawkins mouthpiece, the DC1. It is based on the "B" model facing and is quite reed friendly.

Phil personally play tests each one as they come in, eliminating any any "duds" from the bunch, refusing to sell them and returning them.

Sue, you'll get as many opinions here on the board concerning mouthpieces as there are people who frequent it. But, I tend to agree with GBK about the step-up for you to the Richard Hawkins DC1. Particularly if you've enjoyed the mouthpiece you've been playing. I know that $200.00 is a big gulp--but you'll spend that for almost any hand-made professional mouthpiece.

As I've never used another mouthpiece it's difficult to know whether I'd like another better or whether in fact the one I've got is one of the best - if you see what I mean !
When I bought my clarinet it needed a new mouthpiece and I was advised to buy a RH student one which I did straight away- hence I've never tried anything else.
Brenda - you're right $200 is a bit steep - especially as I live in the UK and will need to add a fair bit of postage onto it.
I appreciate that it comes down to personal choice at the end of the day but I just wondered if anyone else had progressed from a RH student mouthpiece and what their experience was.
