I saw a Selmer in a pawn shop, and the only number on it is a six digit number just above the center joint (247931). Anyone know what model this is or where I can find a list of numbers on the web that would tell me?
Thanks, Mike.

Yes, sorry, it's wood, it's USA. Maybe I missed the model number somewhere, but that's all I saw. It simply had the Selmer logo on the bell, and then "USA" under that.

I have been trying to find a list of Selmer USA serial numbers, Model numbers, etc. without any success. The older wooden Selmer USAs were Signet Specials, and Signet Soloists, later they had the signet model 100s, then 103s, Omegas, etc. From the serial number it could be a model 100 from around 1995, but if it is it would definietly have the "100" on it.
