I hear that Sabine Meyer willl be playing at the Library of Congress in D.C. next month. What a rare treat. I think that she is one of the best there is. I don't think she makes it across the pond too often. Does anyone know if she is going to play more concerts in the U.S. Last I looked, her website didn't even mention the D.C. gig. I would love to see her but D.C. is a long ways from Alaska.

What a treat indeed. Will envy all of you who will be able to make it. If you're one of them, please post a report on the concert.
What's her relation with Clarinetfest? Was she ever invited there? I don't remember seeing her name on the last year's event nor this year's .

One of the nice things about the greater DC Metro area(DC/MD/VA) is that it offers quite a few venues and events to catch live performances - anywhere from classical to rock. The US military service bands also add in free events to add to the mix. So much to see, so little time.
I'm guessing other major metro areas (ie NYC, Chicago) are similar.
Thanks for the tip.
