Last night The Philadelphia Orchestra agreed to the terms of the current offer in their contract talks. The terms include playing four Sunday concerts and changes in their pension and healthcare plans. They will sign the new agreement on Thursday 11/18/2004.

Excellent...Philly is the litmus test on where the future of the "modern" orchestra is heading...
they have had a tumultous ride in the recent while.

The new contract does have the benefit of all the cheesesteaks you can eat at Pat's or Gino's, unlimited soft pretzels with mustard, and a free ride on the El to Bridge street for some of Bucky's sticky buns, and a pass for the 66 electric trolley past the Ellis theatre to Comly where you reeds will be adjusted in a corner house.
