I PICKED UP A WOOD PAUL DUPRE WITH A LOW 4 DIGIT SERIAL NUMBER ON IT AND IT HAS EVERY PIECE SIGNED WITH HIS NAME AND AN IMAGE CARVED OF THE IFFEL (SPELLING) TOWER ON EACH PIECE.

I TOOK THE CLARINET TO THE BEST KNOW MAN IN TOWN AND HE OVER HAULED IT FOR ME. I WAS SHOCKED! HE SAID HE WOULD PUT AGAINST ANY BUFFET AND THAT EVERY PIECE OF MEDAL ON IT WAS STERLING SOLID SILVER.

 THE HORN IS UNREAL!

Sounds very nice. Can we see a picture (would like to see the Eiffel tower!)? What year (epoch) is it from?

 Enjoy your horn!

Very nice indeed. Cute Eiffel tower. I didn't doubt you. I'll keep a lookout for one when I go clarinet hunting.

Thank you Elizabeth, if you find one you will love the way it plays. It has very similar cut downs as the Buffet and really has a mellow tone.

The new Langwell index doesn't have much on Paul Dupre. I don't know i9f they made instruments or only stenciled their names on instruments made by others. They did offer metal clarinets and the Conservatoir model was professional quality.

I know this is an old post-however, I am researching the maker of the old horn I just acquired. It looks similar to this however the Eiffel Tower logo is a bit larger. Also, the tenons are chipped and doesn't have the metal rings on the tenons. Would love to know more about it. Serial number is A 29321. Lower joint is shorter than regular Bb. Could it be a different key?

It could be at high pitch.

If the pads are covering even minimally, finger low A and pop your right ring finger down hard. The resonant frequency will appear among the noise. Then check the pitch against low G on your regular clarinet.
