I had the great fortune of hearing Elsa Ludwig Verdehr and her husband Walter Verdehr perform at ClarinetFest in Salt Lake City. They performed the Wallace Double Concerto, and it was superb! I am curious if anyone knows what setup she uses (mouthpiece in particular). I know that the mouthpiece does not make the player, but I am in the market for a new mouthpiece and would like to get an idea of what the professionals are using these days.

She's a leblanc Artist. She plays the concerto. I don't know what mouthpiece she uses though . . .

At the bottom it states that she recommends the Jewel Concert Mouthpiece, but as to whether she uses it or not I'm still searching. BTW, thanks for giving a guy to do something on a day he's snowed in and bored.
Retired, playing more sax than clarinet, but still playing clarinet and still loving it!

Elsa is playing on a Johnston these days. What a terrific lady she is, I'm very lucky to have studied with her.
