Has anyone heard of a piece called "Wings of the morning" or "wings of morning". Somebody told me it was by Elgar and I am trying to locate it quite urgently.

I can't find anything by Elgar. (Its not a clarinet work by the way!)

 Thanks,
 Rob Bell

I have a CD of James Campbell with the Allegri String Quartet and it includes a piece called Chanson de Matin by Sir Edward Elgar. Perhaps that is what you are looking for??

No, its definitely not a clarinet piece. Its a choral work - just thought someone on here would know it.

Here is a web site that lists a number of Elgar's works:

 http://www.steenslid.com/music/elgar/ (Click on Work List).

Unless what you're looking for is part of a larger work, the closest title I see is one of his songs: The Wind At Dawn.

 Hope this is helpful.
