any information on Serial Numbers for Pedler. Read the postings- most are quite old. New thoughts on Pedler? my horn is serial number
W8273 Pedler Custom Built on the bell. It plays well, and mostly in tune.

Well there is no published information on the web. Pedler stopped making instruments several decades ago I believe.

Dee is correct, I'd guess that they stopped/sold-out? before 1950. I have both a Ped bass and alto clar, in fair playing condition,. Will post my ser #s and give comments on them after I attend a funeral for a departed good friend. Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

My bass cl ser# is W13947, has DRK [double register keying, 2 bridge keys connecting upper and lower joints. The last I played it, it was quite resonant, sim to my Selmer, BUT either my hands are too small or some of its "reaches" are too great, in partic. the L F keys. My alto cl ser# is E12140, also has a same-designed DRK [unusual for an alto], plays nearly as well as my Selmer-Paris which doesn't badly need DRK. Both are older designs in other aspects, prob. quite good for their "day in the sun". Don
