The oboe part in Summer Music is AWESOME. I have the Marlboro recording with Elaine Douvas playing oboe and it is lovely! Another really great oboe solo is in the second movement of the Cello concerto- there's an oboe-cello duet for about 2 minutes of the movement and then again later. I have the Saint Louis recording with Steven Isserlis playing cello (Peter Bowman is the oboist) and it is also quite exceptional!
