It wasn't me recommended, though the old Louis (Chelsea) oboes and cors are lovely instruments - if it's not in good condition they are well worth having rebuilt. I rebuilt a set of Louis oboes a while back and the workmanship on these is fantastic as they're all completely hand made.
If you compare an S20 cor (or any Howarth cor, new or old) with a Louis cor you will see the similarities in their design. I've rebuilt several Louis oboes and cors and they're great players.
Though there are also Malerne cors with the name Louis Artist (and Lafleur Artist) which are good instruments, though when B&H bought the Louis name they did stamp it on the basic Italian student oboes which were from the same factory in Italy as the Howarth B model, though the B models had the bores reamed out using Howarth's reamers - the others have the narrow bore as they left the factory in Italy.
