I had a Blayman stand also, they are the most sturdy I have ever seen - although they do weigh a ton! But you feel really secure that your instruments won't knock over. Some horrible person stole my stand about 10 years ago, and I have since used the metal cross style from Forrests (probably many places carry this style) with the wood pegs. It has been fine, and the lightness of the stand is great, but if you are doing a lot of pit work (or anywhere people will be moving around a fair bit) I'd get a Blayman.
