Thanks, ya'll. Sorry it took so long to respond (I have a five month old baby, so suffering from mummy-brain right now!) I purchased this oboe from a friend of a friend and am kind of regretting it, as it seems like I over-paid for it, and with the hassle of trying to identify it and all. Funny, he had no problem emailing me the day I emailed him about buying it, but I emailed him two weeks ago about what fingering chart to use (he even said, don't hesitate to contact him if I had any questions) and haven't heard a peep back. Darn it. :(
I'll check out that link, thank you so much! I played the flute for over 30 years now, but had switched to oboe in band waaaaaay back when, and played for three years. I wanted to join our local community band, but knowing how directors are all "gee. greeeeaaaat. another flutist." when you walk in with a flute, vs '"Gee! Great! An oboe!!!" when you walk in with an oboe, plus, I've missed it like mad all these years (I hocked mine for a meal when I was 17!) so have been wanting to play again forever, and this seemed like a good deal at the time. <sigh> And oh, you should see the expressions on my baby's face when I try to play it - I knew it would be hard getting back into it, and sound like a dying duck, but woosh! harder than I thought!
Anyway, I've attached a pic of the top keys.
Thanks, again!
