When a colleague's wooden Yamaha top joint cracked during a rehearsal, I loaned a Loree top joint which I had with me, and it worked and fit fine after adjusting the linkages which span the top and middle joints. If you cannot find a plastic Yamaha top joint, you might investigate trying the Loree. Mine was an AK model.
