I hope that a few adjustments are all that is necessary, but it took more to make the low notes speak easily on my old Prestini. The pad seats needed to be smoothed, and the upper tenon cork needed to be replaced. Once that was done, things were much, much better. If only I had had that work done back when I was still in high school--my whole life might have been different!
