What size spring do I need for replacement on lower joint f#/c# cluster key? It is for a Buffet R13 Bb clarinet fron the early 1970s. I do repads and some repairs, but am not well versed in spring replacenent. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Someone here might have the same model clarinet from around that time and can disassemble all the keys necessary to check that... but it doesn't mean it is definitely the correct size.
Without a clarinet or any springs in front of me now, just trying to "visualize" it, I imagine it's someone in the 0.60mm to 1.0mm area... probably 0.70mm to 0.85mm but it's almost a guess. Maybe someone else can narrow it down more and I would get at least one size over and under and possibly two sizes up and down.
Although it costs a bit more per spring, you can buy individual springs from Music Medic and get just two or three per size for very little cost (if you already have the tools to replace them).

If you have a selection of spring sizes, then check which one is the best fit in the F#/C# key. I think they're around 0.6mm, but can't say for definite.
Reason being I bin these springs as a matter of course and respring this key in the more conventional manner - by fitting a much longer and heavier gauge spring in the pillar and turning the lug on the F#/C# key into a spring catch. The action and spring tension can be balanced much better than the short spring that digs into the slot in the wood.
