Sure you can use it, I have one each of Vandoren's "German" and "Austrian" model mouthpieces in my too-large collection -- they fit my Boehm-system clarinets and play in tune, but like nearly every other Vandoren mouthpiece I've tried over the years, the factory facings on these mouthpieces don't work for me, so I've refaced them.

According to Vandorens website, w and s stands for different shank (or tenon) diameters. The w for 22,4 mm and s for 22,0 mm

Take a look at: http://www.vandoren.fr/en/germanclarmouthpiece.html

A w would as an example suit a German Wurlitzer barrel, but it would be too large to fit in a regular French barrel.

Just measure your barrel to be sure.
