When I try to tie the cane onto the staple, if I tie it tight enough to where there are no leaks, I get a crack in the middle of the cane towards the end. But if I don't tie it tight, there is a considerable gap in between the sides.
Also, tips for tying in general? Mine doesn't look neat at all and it looks somewhat thick (the thread). I can't seem to get it tied well either because it it too loose or just won't stay tied (even double knotted). Then, when it does crack, I have to tie it higher to cover the crack and then the thread goes up too high and looks odd.
As you can tell, I'm very new to this and I'd appreciate any other advice as well.
