I wonder if anyone has experimented or found information to determine the effect the following have on oboe reed intonation.
1. Shape. How does shape effect intonation. Is a wider shape generally flatter?
2. Tube or Staple diameter. Again is a larger diameter tube going to effect intonation.
3. Finally, given the first two remain constant, what is the effect of tying the staple longer or shorter?
I've been trying a few things this summer and am interested to see if my inexpert observations are confirmed by others.
