Flute AND Oboe??

Hi all,

I've noticed that some of you still play both flute and oboe. I also play the flute but not very often as I prefer the oboe. Was wondering though...do you find that oboe embouchure hinders your flute embouchure (or vice-versa)?. Have you found any techniques from playing flute that help with the oboe?

And just curious, what kind of flute do you own? Mine is an Emerson 8B, french (open hole), solid sterling silver, low B with gizmo. Even though I don't play it much, I still love it and keep it well maintained....could never part with it.
