 Linton quality

I'd like to add oboe to my doubles. I rented one for the summer and had moderate success, but I'd like to buy my own...(beginner, plastic ) Linton oboes are the cheapest on ebay of the used student type oboes. Does anyone have experience with Linton oboes?
