I find one of the most difficult things to do on my EH is to go from third-space C to C# smoothly. It's because my rh ring finger always ends up overshooting its key, and ends up hitting the banana key next to it. It also can miss covering the hole on the key.
Ergonomically, it just is quite difficult. If they had been able to extend that key out (away from the hand) it would have helped.
I wonder if others have this problem or if it's just because of my horn. I have a Linton, which is an alright horn but no great shakes. I wonder if on a more expensive horn, they've been able to manufacture a more comfortable transition between those two notes.
